I had a few SAMs (smart arsed masochists) message me on Yahoo! and I couldn't figure out why, until I realised I had my profile set to show when I was online. That fixed, it's been blissfully quiet.

I've been quite successful building contacts through LJ, I think it's a good way of introducing yourself. Feel free to add me as a contact if you'd like - my assorted details are on my info page.

Well, the things is that I put up my profile in the hopes that I might get a few new friends from it or something. So I don't really mind having it show when I'm online.

It just annoys me how many people seem to be interested in nothing more than cybersex. Get's a little tiresome, wouldn't you agree?

I think special interest groups and lists work better for me, as well as LJ. I've made a few friends from them, which figures, you already have something in common.

And yes, the "Dominate me, Mistress" ones without a clue who I was or why I was involved in the scene were *extremely* tiresome.
