Something very strange is going one with LJ... Whenever I try and post the last post I wrote I get "cannot connect to server" but if I only send a short post it works fine.... Anyone know why that might be?
if, at the server end, a whole lot of people are competing for limited bandwidth, data will slow to a crawl and packets will get mulched. i'd assume some packets are forcing their way through while others aren't ... and those that don't have to be re-requested. So sending one or two lines of text could be difficult and slow, but sending several paragraphs could take so much time, it'll just time out.
That's what I would have thought. Except that I've tried over and over again at various times of day on several different days - all with the exact same result. Hence my confusion...
Really fucking annoying given how rarely I actually post that I can't post when I want to! Bah!
