Girls Night
The doorbell rang. “Sweety, can you please answer the door?” Olivia got up and went to buzz their friends in. Abbie Carmichael and Casey Novak walked down the hallway engrossed in a discussion. Casey pushed through the door nodding briefly, she was anxious to get in and use the bathroom. Abbie hugged Olivia and shouted “Hello Alex!” into the apartment, not knowing where the A.D.A was exactly.
“Want something to drink?” Olivia offered water and beer. Abbie decided on the latter and took one extra for Casey, who appeared in the door just in time, so Abbie couldn't steal a sip from her bottle. “You're always doing that!” She affectionately slapped the mischievously grinning attorney.
“Hey, Liv, I am sorry that you can't join us tonight.” The worn out Detective smiled and said: “As soon as you are out of here I am gonna get comfy and sleep like a baby.” “Alex suddenly standing behind her added “And as soon as I am home, love, you are gonna be wide awake and make passionate love to me. “Whoa, too much information!” called Casey and Abbie in unison. Casey raised an eyebrow and asked, “How much did you drink already?” Alex blushed. “I had a Scotch and half of Olivia's beer.” Abbie and Casey shared a knowing look.
Shooing the others out Alex winked at Olivia and whispered “Don't forget me!” Olivia nodded and said “How can I? You look stunning tonight!” Biding farewell she closed the door and sighed “Finally alone!”
Hours later, fast asleep Olivia didn't notice her lover coming into the bedroom and getting undressed. What she did notice was the naked blond crawling into bed and what got her awake and alert was the A.D.A kissing her thigh and belly leaving a wet trail on her body. Finally face to face Liv and Alex kissed as if there was no tomorrow.
“Remember what I said?” The only response Olivia managed was an moan when Alex kissed her left breast. Arousal built in her belly and she was glad the blonde had woke her up. Alex moved slower and slower, Olivia didn't mind a little teasing. But when Alex's movements stilled completely and quit snoring came from under the covers Olivia groaned with frustration. Her beautiful lover had fallen asleep.
Home
Getting an A.D.A assigned to the squad had been awful. But the A.D.A herself had not been as bad as they come. Alexandra Cabot had proven herself from the start and became a part of the team over the years.
Olivia's skin tingled when she first met Alexandra Cabot. Back then, she didn't know what it was, but something in this other woman intrigued her. A friendship started to build. Had their first encounters only been work related their meetings slowly shifted to being more private.
One day they both noticed that dinners had become more and more frequent. A subtle touch to the arm to get the other's attention while explaining an aspect of a case became a slight caress ever so often.
Then the world came tumbling down. Alex got shot. As Liv held Alex, who's light faded away despite Liv's effort to keep her, it came to Liv 'I never saw blue like that before!'. When Elliot and Olivia were dragged to the middle of nowhere to have a brief moment saying their goodbyes, it was too dark to see Alex's eyes, only the glistening of her tears. All the devastating years without Alex, Olivia just went through the motions, feeling that in that night something newly found was taken from her.
Suddenly Alex was back. The whole 5'9” woman was walking towards her in the broad daylight and everything was like it used to be: beautiful blonde hair, the glasses of justice and then, oh, those blue eyes.
That evening Olivia asked Alex out. She asked her out on a date, no pretending to be just friends and Alex happily accepted. Because first dates usually end at front doors, they found themselves in front of Alex's building. “I am glad that I am back in New York.” Alex almost whispered.“Me too! You know, I look into your eyes and it feels like coming home, though you are the one back home.” Alex blushed and Liv continued “I never saw blue like this before.”
