Fandom: taking back Valentine's Day since 2008!

So last year bottle-of-shine had a Kissing Battle. The last edition is here (EDITED TO ADD: this is the old battle, not the current one!). It was a lot of fun and might be known around FF-fandom circles as the best Meme ever**.

Ifalna was one of those people that let him kiss her first, which was strangely not something that happened often. He had to wonder why that was; it wasn't something that he typically thought of.

"Some day I'll be doing something different."

It was a strange admission, the kind that she tended to draw out of him. Not even Veld knew that he wanted to be something other than a Turk one of these days.

"Not a priest, I hope," she teased. They'd been in the supply room for nearly two hours now, as he had no desire to let anyone know he was in Nibelheim, again, and she didn't seem particularly sociable.

"No, I couldn't keep all the vows."

"Chastity?"

He decided now was a good time to kiss her, and hopefully she wouldn't notice what was likely showing in his face. No, that sort of vow was never really a problem.

Thou shalt not kill, however...

FF7: Vincent.Ifalna (I hope this fits the bill)

Someday soon someone was going to figure out that Ifalna wasn’t really supposed to have free access of Shinra Tower, Vincent knew. He didn’t have the faintest idea how she kept on managing to make her way onto the Turk floor which, after the President’s level and the science department, was supposed to be the most secure part of the building. The part of him that was tempted to see conspiracies in every corner - aka, his Turk training - made him wonder at her knack for breaking and entering.

The more inane, human part of him accepted it as something Ifalna just did, the way she just did most things. He couldn’t help but sometimes think of her as something more akin to a force of nature than anything so benign as a member of the species Homo sapiens. In the end, perhaps that was why she got along with Veld so well

I loved this. Especially the line about Ifalna being a "force of nature" - hee! (It's a good way to describe her and Aeris both.)

This is exactly what I was hoping for, thanks so much for writing it. The kiss and the description for it couldn’t have been more fitting. Vincent offering his arm was probably my favorite part. Thanks!
