This only has to do with two of my characters, so I'll toss them on here. sokkafangirl, dawndigger, vermified, and wingenvy are all too neutral to be affected.
The other two are both kind of tricky, so I'll try to be as detailed as is necessary.
Character: Asch Username: mirrorbirth Is this character specifically aligned to light or to darkness as defined in Saten's world? Which? Asch is neutral for the most part, though he does possess a couple of darkness-related artes. Specifically, though, he's... basically the human-born version of his world's central deity, Lorelei, which is a being composed entirely of sound and light. Asch himself has an ability that Lorelei grants to his "isofons" (shared fonons, aka atoms, aka DNA... okay their world is really messed up...). Essentially, though? It's as close to light-alignment as one can get.
On the other hand, there's actually a deity of "light" particles, too (Rem), so... ergh. Like I said, it's tricky. But because of the nature of Lorelei's existence, I'm inclined to view it as more of a deity than Rem.
bearingevil and whichwayagain are both ordinary humans with no alignment. Mind control could be fun, but I'd like to be spoken to first. :)
Now, as for the other one!
Character: Homura Username: screwthegods Is this character specifically aligned to light or to darkness as defined in Saten's world? Which? Technically, none, since his "alignment" is fire. However, Homura is half-god, and I'm not sure how that would qualify in terms of synching. In his canon, he's considered a heretical being by the gods, or a forbidden creature who is a source of misfortune. His entire existence is basically a big no no in the eyes of the "holy," even though he's half-one himself.
Hence the confusion :D
If yes to the previous, do you want to allow this alignment to synchronize with Saten? Depends on how it works, but it could be really fun! And Homura is really, really strong, both in terms of pure strength and will

Character: Xigbar Username: gravity_splode Is this character specifically aligned to light or to darkness as defined in Saten's world? Which? Xigbar is, by the definition of his world, a creature of the twilight in between light and darkness. This isn't a voluntary alignment! He is more or less shunned by both light and darkness since he sort of doesn't exist. However, he is capable using several darkness related powers (or would, if not for the power cap).
His coat also offers some kind of magical protection from the effects of darkness.
If yes to the previous, do you want to allow this alignment to synchronize with Saten? I'm not sure how his coat's protection would affect things, but it could be interesting, especially since is canonically extremely strong willed. Would you be willing to have Saten force synchronization with this character at some point, assuming that we worked out the details ahead of time? Given Xigbar's crazy strong willpower, I'm... not too sure how it would work out. :|a
