The world I come from is protected by our god, the Chief of Heaven.

Well... I don't really have any proof, exactly, but the story goes: everyone meets the Chief of Heaven before they're born, and they're allowed three wishes to have granted during their life. When the third wish is granted, they're called back to him again.

I can only believe in God because I can't remember meeting him, but I know that evil exists. The God of Death, Verloren... he's real. His messengers - kor - steal souls in exchange for granting three wishes. It's known as Verloren's Curse.
