Too True. Jesus was perhaps a fictional character invented by the "herbal remedy" induced writers? Or a random hobo who was lucky enough to be born into the first generation of the "drug wave", what kinda mother proclaims her unborn baby is the son of God?? -Acid is the answer!- Highly dillusional, but was she the one to blame? or the people following her baby boy? We all know..or most of us, that a lot of stuff was added to the bible to make jesus out to be more of a miracle worker than he was in the first enstallment of his novel ((and a novel is surely all it is..Who knows, in a thousand years...maybe people will believe Harry Potter was our millenia's Jesus??? it could happen!)) All for now but im sure i'll be back later!

um i'm just going to comment on this for el sake of it heehee.

personally i think the bible is just a big story. yeah maybe the old testament is true, but the new testament is just a fairy tale. i don't believe there's such thing as 'god', i think there is something there more powerful than us all, but not a 'god', if you know what i mean.

Rachel, im with you all the way man!! Yeah, basically a religion is a cult that has increased in support and numbers and so is then credited as being a "religion" but lets face it, they're both just words that describe a gathering of people for worship, only one is more respected than the other. Cults are often "frowned upon" but surely Religion is just a cult with more widespread following? Yet they're accepted in society...but what really is the difference?

I think it's accepted in society because it tells us what is right and what is wrong (The Ten Commandments). It is much like the government's laws. There are some people who follow them, but a minority break them. I think religion is there so that people know how to act to feel safe and to be safe and to live a "wholesome" life and maybe even go to heaven, if there is such a thing ( ... )

Theres no hard proof that Magdalene was married to Jesus, but then theres no proof he wasnt, and it is subtly hinted at quite often. (BTW the Da Vinci Code is a lot of crap, well most, so i wouldnt trust it) But why would Jesus being married be viewed as a bad thing? Does it make him un-pure? Or show that he loves one over all, when he is supposeed to love everyone equally???? Personally I think the whole Jesus story is bullshit, fair enough there was a guy who was kind and generous, but being able to walk on water? Trun water into wine?? No way, iv never believed in God, but have turned to him during a hard time, which i found strange then and still do today. God is merely a support for the weak in my view..a man turned into a myth by the hands of people who needed something to believe in when their time comes. Im sure at one point everyone has cursed God..most of us without realizing, he has became part of our life so much that he is hardly noticed by those outside his churched and groupings. ((We all say "for Gods Sake!" but ( ... )

There was hard proof that Mary Magdalene was one of the disciples and that Jesus treated her somewhat "special". Those scrolls are real and I havent read the Da Vinci Code and therefor, don't know the whole concept behind that.
I'm with you with the whole walking on water, distorted stories passed down. Fan fiction, like i said before. I've never actually believed in God either but he's a big comfort blanket that people want to believe in and want to believe he is there to listen, because people seek comfort in others. I don't think believing in God makes you are weak and I don't think Christianity will die out anytime soon, if at all. There are still millions of people who are devoted to Christianity and you can't say that people are liking it less and less...maybe that's just the way you feel about it.

With the introduction of science, it has created a big doubt in Christianity yet people still wholly believe in Christianity and God.
