Isn't it fascinating how many diseases there are in the world and how differently each one affects the human body?

is superior, disease, unaffected, chicken pox, curse, mitochondria, parasite

Personally I'm just thankful my robust nature has kept me from having to deal with all this nasty disease going around so far. Doesn't mean I'm not going to take precautions, of course, but still.

But if you don't allow yourself to occasionally get infected, your immune system will weaken.

I think my body's been exposed to the elements on enough occasions to keep my immune system on its toes.

What reason is there that they are fascinating? The human body falls apart with the slightest of provocations, why would the manner in which it happens be of any interest to me?

I wouldn't know, since we have only just met. But I suppose I am just surprised at how weak humans can truly be at times.

I apologize, Rue. I hope you are not infected too badly?

Less badly than most people who feel to broadcast the number of blisters or their insufferable pain. I'm taking a bath and dealing with mine.

Good. I do not want to see you suffer.

Very fascinating, and how each one brings the body closer to death.

Or how easy it is to take over.

Is it? Perhaps for some. For others, it is a painful struggle.

But the pain can be worth it.
