He’s not looking at her. Of course he isn’t. Charles is always looking away. His thesis, some co-ed, new mutants, the floor… Even now, he’s looking through her, eyes glassy with pain and fear and his stupid martyr’s idea of love. He can’t see her. Even worse - he won’t.
And Erik… Erik is looking right at her.
