How did I not hear about this until now? Seriously. This sort of thing was supposed to be over in the '60s. And, of course, the next question is--what can I do to help?

I feel like I shouldn't be so shocked by injustice.

As a side note, what news feeds does everyone use? I'm primarily relying on the local (crappy) newspaper's feed, and occasionally ( Read more... )

I use Google News. It is indexed by story but then you can pick which news source you want to read the article from. Also you can customize what kinds of stories it shows you.

I switch between Slashdot and the BBC, with the occasional Christian Science Monitor thrown in.

This is all at work, mind you.

I've known about it for a while now. It appears there's been some movement. That it's made national news is a good sign, I think.
