This prediction of the next 100 years, taken from the Ladies' Home Journal in 1900, is incredible. There are actually fewer silly predictions than one might expect, given the nature of the article--actually, it's amazing how many of these were accurate in concept, if not in their actual technology. Does anyone know if a list like this exists from

I have a book entitled 20 reasons why the world will end before the year 2000. It's was written in the 70's. It was wrong. ;)

Seriously. Everyone knows it's gonna end in 2012, when the Mayan calendar ends.

Nearly all major universities are subsidized, and scholarships and grants make it free for lots of athletes and even some students.
