It describes me perfectly right now. As long as you switch coffee for chai. XD

The advantage of being broke is that you stop relying on anything but home or work-brewed coffee because you can't afford anything else. You can also thus use your impoverished state to enforce a "diet." I've actually learned to drink black coffee, which is pretty freakin' amazing for me.

So...is your roommate for next year Sally? (Since she just posted that she has officially decided to be a Spartan again.) :-)

Most likely. Our current stance is something to the effect of, "You know, I could probably live with you." Also, we're going to talk about roommate stuff on Friday before everyone goes to Brandy's (Brandi's?) thing.

I third that motion, and invoke my countdown- four weeks! Then I am soooo getting a job where I can afford Starbucks again. And food. And pants- I need new pants. A newer car would be nice, and some time to read books that I WANT to read, and...

Bah! You and your foolish optimism! You'll never have time! NEVARZ!

But yeah, I can't wait to actually *earn* money. I finally get to do car repairs because I finally got my tax rebate...

Congratulations Lisa, I hope everything works out well.

As for the black coffee thing, I can only go one milk one sugar, anything more than that is a bit too bitter. This is coming from a man who prefers to drink Guinness when he goes out to a bar.

Is Guinness bitter? I'm pretty much a noob at alcohol. Alcohol-wise, the only stuff I kind of enjoy is the very sweet stuff (Smirnoff malts or blush wines). The rest is too much for me.

Beer is generally considered to be somewhat bitter, even lagers and pilsners that claim to be clean and crisp still have some of that edge to them. Guinness seems to have that edge sharpened like a razor, but isn't gaudy about it like some beers I've had (read: Black Sheep ale). Guinness is best paired with heavy British cooking, something like Kidney Pie or fish and chips ... or fries if you feel like experimenting with it. Oh and it's thick enough to stand on so it almost constitutes a meal on it's own ( ... )

Smithwicks - it's an irish beer made with no hops, so there's no bitterness to it, just golden barleyness.

Or a good hefeweizen, like Hoegaarden. You can't go wrong with yeast flavour.
