I believe that is a drawback of the constant need for news 24 hours a day. You either find something to report about - true or not - or lose your client base.

True, though they tend to look at the depressing things in life. They would rather focus on the negative things than the positive ones, though I suppose numbers is the game, and you sell more with a story about criminals than you would about fluffy rabbits.
