Does it have to be "Bob"? Or is this the mysterious Bob whom you spoke of on the Info page?

Nope, it doesn't have to be 'Bob' at all. Just like it says on the info page, Bob can be another name/he/she/I/they/we etc. Whatever works for what you want to write. :)
