--nce. Mom leaves for England on Saturday, so I'm taking her out for a seafood (yuck!) dinner Friday night for Mother's Day. It's a good thing I only have to pretend to like seafood twice a year.

It's been a terrible day. Lunch was delayed and nobody wished me a happy birthday or brought me a cake (so much for the traditions in this office). Everybody else gets their cake on their birthday (or right after the weekend). Why can't they even do that for me? They even didn't do anything for Secretaries' Day last week. And I've been here for 15 years. Makes you think strongly about getting a new job when they can't even do simple thoughtful things like that.
