Summary Inuyasha and Kagome try to recreate an important moment
They were supposed to be clearing out Kagome's room. Cleaning house on her life so that she could move on to her new life. Instead, the memories stopped them in their tracks
Albums of pictures of Kagome's time in Sengoku Jidai. .They found the Shikon no Tama itself. Not the one they wished away but the one Jichan showed to Kagome, the day before her birthday.
Remembering the plastic jewel was a memory that both of them treasured. In this very room, they had confronted their very real feelings for each other The ones that made them realize that they belonged together whether in the Sengoku Jidai or the twenty-first century
As they stared at each other, the feelings of that night came back to them. A moment they lost could be returned to them. The mood was right. The atmosphere was electric. The only thing missing was the way they were dressed.
Kagome sent Inuyasha off to dress in his haori while she dressed the way she did four years ago. Seeing each other dressed as they had that night was a catalyst. They moved by the bed they had that night.
Inuyasha pulled her toward him. Their lips were about to touch. People said that you could never go back. Yet here they were reclaiming a precious memory which had been shattered when Kagome's brother burst into the room
The door opened and Souta stuck his head in." Kagome, Mom said that dinner is ready"
The mood shattered. They both began to laugh. The past was the past and would remain so. Kagome and Inuyasha wer now husband and wife. They did not need to sneak around to make out anymore
Kagome muttered " Tell Mom We will be down after we change"
