Summary Inuyasha and Kagome say goodbye to Old Fort Boise in 2008
The location was as they remembered. A stupid place for a fort. Slapped together out of earth and built on a flood plain it had no redeeming value.
Built to promote the beaver trade and wipe out the American fur trade . It could not stop the arrows of the Shoshone and was rrelevant to the pioneers on the Oregon Trail.
Never really useful, it was abandoned when it proved its uselessness after the Ward Massacre. Old Fort Boise simply was washed away by the floods of the Snake and Boise.
All that was irrelevant For one hundred fifty years it had been the home of Inuyasha and Kagome. In good times and bad Sickness and health For better or worse
Now they were parting. Going back to Japan. They knew that someday they would go home,but it did not make the parting any less bitter.
To others the fort had been folly. Useless. Worthless. But to Inuyasha and Kagome it had been home. There was not fort here anymore. No graves to remember. Still the memories of home would always remain so long as they and their children were alive
"Any last words before we leave,Inuyasha?'
Inuyasha smirked "I told you that this place was the most half-assed excuse for a fort that I had ever seen. I say good riddance. The only reason we were able to stay hidden here so long was because no one else could see any value in it At At least we got out of here alive"
