This is me procrastinating.

My friend, who was being ridiculously sweet to me and sent me a bunch of Damian pics because she was thinking of me, sent this pic and I was like, "Man, Damian looks kind of girly in that pic."  I think it was the eyelashes.  I'm not used to him eyelashing it up like that.  And, so, instead of doing my schoolwork, I decided to give Damian long hair.  And somehow, some way, he looks even sexier.  HOW DOES HE DO THAT?  He was supposed to look ridiculous, damn it!  That came out surprisingly well for a 5 minute photoshop job.

Anywho, I'm still on a Richard Armitage kick, even Netflixed his Vicar of Dibley eps that I had never gotten around to copying, so I'm probably going to watch that now.  Instead of doing my work.  But I'm so damn tired.  I did my walking today, because it was so absolutely beautiful outside and it was the first day where it was below 80 at 10:00am, so I had to go.  But when I go walking, I get absolutely nothing else done, because I'm gone all morning, then I come home and fool around on the computer for an hour, then I have to make the salad, eat lunch, wash all the dishes and clean up the kitchen, so I'm not done till about 3:00, then I briefly fool around on the computer, then I do my work for about an hour and a half, then my parents come home and I have to make dinner (and eat it), then I simply don't feel like doing anything but watching TV or talking on LJ.  UGH!  I WAS SO GOOD ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY!  Now I'm being bad.  But since I am, I'll talk a little more about Robin Hood.

I watched a couple eps last night, and there's this one scene where the Sheriff is pretty much violating Guy, so I couldn't not talk about it.  I was worried for Guy's... something.  I don't know.  But the Sheriff is so deliciously creepy and sexually ambiguous and he knows exactly how to manipulate Guy and preys on all of his fears and weaknesses (much like Marian does, only... Marian's a lot less creepy when she does it).  Actually, I find it interesting how the Sheriff truly does not understand human emotions like love and kindness, and he watches Marian manipulating Guy by appealing to the humanity in him, so the Sheriff goes about it in the same way, only he appeals to the darkness in Guy.  But I love that he uses pretty much the same methods as Marian (human contact, using Guy's supposed friend as a pawn), only... he really kicks it up a notch.

So, Guy is sulking because the Sheriff just made Much an Earl, and Guy's number 1 goal is to get back a title and land and that's pretty much the only reason why he lets the Sheriff push him around so much.  Also, he's feeling betrayed by not only the Sheriff, but also his business partner, who he thought was his friend (sort of).

Oh, Guy.  When you're being all sulky like that, it's impossible for me to think of you as a psychotic killer, no matter how much black leather you wear.  So, Marian sees him sulking, and decides to manipulate him in order to help out stinky Robin, but Guy continues to think that Marian is pure and good and that she genuinely cares for him, and Marian knows this, and she knows she can get him to do ANYTHING because he wants to please her so badly, and...

She touches him.  And Guy is so unloved that he's really not used to human contact unless it's someone grabbing onto his leg and begging him not to kill them, and he's so used to disdain from Marian that being touched by her is a HUGE FREAKIN' DEAL and he gets all giddy (well, as giddy as Guy can get, anyway).

And the Sheriff sees this.  He knows full well that Marian's only interest in Guy is for her own gain and manipulation, because it's exactly what the Sheriff's interest is in Guy.  Guy is easily led astray and easy to play with.  Anyway, the Sheriff watches the way she completely gets Guy to do what she wants.  Later...

The Sheriff is painting his toenails black.  Because he's insane.

And Guy is still quietly brooding, because that's what he does, and then the Sheriff starts playing with his head.  Teases him about the whole Earl thing.  Then he starts talking about loyalty and betrayal.

And he freaking leans in and wraps his arms around Guy and whispers into his ear, slightly menacing, slightly comforting, slightly daring.

And he wears down Guy's defenses, making him believe that no one could ever be his friend, that he can't trust anyone but the Sheriff.

"We make a good team."

And then he slowly stands back up, moving his beard along Guy's neck, his hands drifting up Guy's chest...

And he's massaging Guy's shoulders.  That's probably the closest thing Guy's ever had to a real embrace.  And it's so creepy, but sexy, but weird, but GUY!  OH, GUY!  You are way too easy to manipulate.  All it takes is a shoulder massage to make him go against Marian.  And Guy is so down on himself that he will more easily believe that his "friend" always wanted to dupe him rather than believe that he had actually created a genuine friendship, so he takes comfort in the Sheriff, who he knows would betray him at the drop of a hat, but at least he can trust the Sheriff to be what he is.
Also, I just want to note, the Sheriff/Guy relationship is so very much like the Robin/Much relationship, and the Marian/Guy relationship is almost an exact mirror of Robin/Much.  And poor Guy is so desperate to be good and loved and successful but he fails miserably, so he just succumbs to being bad, hated, and a failure.  I actually love that Guy wants to be Robin.  It means that his soul isn't completely dark.  But at the same time, Guy is like a dark version of Robin.  And the reason why he was having so much pleasure in the kinky tree bondage scene from the Tattoo episode was because Robin showed that he could be capable of just as  much darkness as Guy, and that deep down they were the same man, and this made Guy feel better about himself, and it brought him that much closer to actually being Robin Hood.  I really shouldn't be analyzing such a campy show so deeply, but I can't help it.  Guy rules.  As does the Sheriff.  I think I may love the Sheriff even more than I love Guy.  But Guy is the pretty one, so he's the one that gets picspammed.  But yeah, this show is fun and goofy and violent and kinky and I love it.  The only character I don't like is Robin, oddly enough.  He's so damn cocky.  Ick.  I don't understand the Robin fangirls at all.  I am a Guy fangirl through and through, and Robin being such a douche makes it even easier to love Guy.
