grimorie Name your top six TV shows right now, before reading the questions.
1. Merlin
2. The Office
3. Boston Legal
4. 30 Rock
5. Life
6. Ugly Betty
1.) Who is your favorite character from #2?
Ahahaha, hmm, I wonder. ANDY BERNARD!!!! GREATEST CHARACTER EVER INVENTED! I love him way too much.
2.) Who is your least favorite character from #4?
How can I have a least favorite from 30 Rock? They are all so rockingly awesome and ridiculous. If I have to choose, I'd say Rachel Dratch's various appearances, but the show did away with that in season 2, so I'm kind of cheating.
3.) What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
Charlie Crews and Uther Pendragon screwing each other like rabbits. Oh yes. Okay, fine. Charlie and Dani would be working with Merlin to solve the magic wrongdoing of the week, and eventually Arthur would get on board, and we'd get glorious partner scenes of Arthur and Dani being cranky and Merlin and Charlie being perky and it would be so, so adorable. Also, when Charlie faces the scrutiny of Uther, he will be at his perkiest and start talking to him in zen-filled riddles and Uther will think he has a mental affliction and send him to the stocks. In fact, I never realized until now how much Merlin and Charlie are alike.
4.) Who is your favorite ship from #6?
Daniel/Betty, no contest. They are the most adorable BFF's ever, and their relationship contains so many instances of platonic romance that I cannot resist. And unlike the majority of the fandom, I have no problem seeing Daniel/Betty transition into actual romance. Daniel is already besotted with her, he just doesn't know it yet.
5.) If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?
Oh wow, this is freaky. I actually did a completely different meme once and had this question, and oddly enough, the numbers fell on Ugly Betty and Boston Legal. And, my answer still hasn't changed. Denny Crane and Claire Meade. They would be so ridiculously hilarious together, and they are both so kooky that it just might work.
6.) If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be and what would you do?
Kenneth Parcel. I don't care what we do, I just want to be around that cheery smile and that fangirl personality. We can spend the day choreographing our own clog dance and then pretend to go on Conan together. Or we can just ride the elevator all day long and crack corny jokes together and make Tracy cry.
7.) If you could change one thing about #2's plotline, what would you change?
Hmm... I would definitely change what they did to Ryan. I loved his season 4 plot, but they just screwed him over in season 5. There was so much they could have done with him. In fact, I would have had him in prison and we'd get little flashes of his experience there, along with talking heads of emotionally numb Ryan and his big gay prison mate. HOW COULD THEY PASS UP THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR PRISON HUMOR? HOW? They let me down so much there. Michael would have been the only one visiting Ryan and Ryan would act like he hates the visits but in actuality it's all he has left of his old life and he craves that connection like nothing else and IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO GLORIOUS! I was looking forward to it all summer. *sigh* Also, I'd make Andy and Oscar makeout.
8.) Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5 and why you like the relationship between them.
I'm going to throw you all off here and say Charlie/Ted. I talk about Crews/Reese all the time, so might as well mix it up a bit. Charlie and Ted are completely domesticated, to the point where they've even become mother and father to Rachel. Charlie is the workaholic father that's never home and Ted is the neglected housewife worrying about their daughter. Charlie is pretty much ALL Ted has, and he often yearns to tell Charlie all of his woes, but he holds back because he knows Charlie has too much of his own to deal with and he's all about keeping Charlie happy. Charlie saved Ted's life in prison and out of prison, and there's a devotion there that will never go away. Ted is often Charlie's goofy distraction, and when Ted tries to understand what's going on with Charlie, Charlie tends to brush him off, but I love that Ted doesn't give up. He doesn't push, but he doesn't give up. He's always there for Charlie when he needs to be. It's just a beautiful friendship.
9.) If the lead title characters (first names in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
Merlin and Alan Shore. Hmm... Merlin can get himself out of anything, whereas Alan is kind of a wuss when it comes to anything that doesn't deal with him talking his way out of it, so I'll go with Alan.
10.) If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
Meh, it's perfect as it is.
11.) If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline of #6, what would the character be like, and what would their role be?
You know, I tend to hate it when Ugly Betty does new recurring characters. Normally I would say a guy friend for Justin, but they already did that this season, and what they did with that storyline was perfect. I guess I'd say bring in a best guy friend for Daniel, which they sort of tried with Becks and are sort of trying with Connor, but I kind of want an equivalent of what Betty has with Christina. Or... a character that makes Daniel ridiculously jealous of the attention that Betty is giving said character.
12.) What happens in your favorite episode of show #2?
Andy punches a hole in the wall. Or, Dwight gets a concussion.
13.) If you could kill off one of the characters in #1, who would it be and how would you do it?
NOOOOOOOOO! NOBODY CAN DIE! NOBODY! I LOVE THEM ALL WAY TOO MUCH! Well, if I HAVE to choose, it would be Nimueh, but not until Morgana goes over to the dark side, because Uther needs a passionate enemy to keep things interesting. Or, even better, Nimueh takes Morgana under her wing (through manipulation of Morgana's crazy mixed feelings for Uther, of course) and they make numerous attempts to kill Uther, and when Morgana finally succeeds (which would happen as described in
this comment), she learns the truth about Arthur's birth and why Uther was so tortured over magic, and so she ends up killing Nimueh for corrupting her mind and taking Igraine from Uther and making Uther die at her hands and OMG THIS HAS TO HAPPEN! IT HAS TO! But not for many, many seasons from now. If the show gets renewed. Which better happen, or else I will be heartbroken beyond repair.
14.) If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
Life. DAMIAN!!!!!!!
15.) If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person would it be?
Andy Bernard from The Office, definitely. He's so sweet and encouraging and perky and full of serenades and enthusiastic and... gah, he's perfect.

List the ten most random favorite things you can think of (in the order they come to mind).
1. Hearing a song I used to love like crazy but haven't listened to in years. Today it was
this one. Yes, those are two dudes from Lynard Skynard. I love those dudes. And I love the lyric "It's better to be hated for who you are than be loved for who you're not." I also love the not as sage but still awesome advice, "I never let a cowboy make the coffee." That Granny was a smart woman.
2. Watching Buffy while I eat lunch. I don't know why. It just makes lunch time more fun.
3. Getting things done much earlier than expected and having time to goof off guilt-free. This RARELY happens to me, so when it does, I'm ecstatic.
4. My nephew's laughter. I don't think I will ever tire of hearing that sound.
5. String cheese. I love it. I've professed my love for it on numerous occasions, so you probably already knew this. But I love it. A lot. It's good stuff.
6. Family group hugs. They are ridiculous, but I love them.
7. The smell of the trees at night when the temperature is below 50.
8.
Anthony Head giggling uncontrollably. &hearts
9.
The Uther/Morgana billowing capes of love scene. YES, I AM STILL NOT OVER IT! I WILL NEVER BE OVER IT! And the more I watch it, the more I've begun to trick myself into thinking that they are kissing in the very end. The way Uther's head is moving in kissing motions, the way her head is hidden by the hood, my stupid brain is making me think that they are actually kissing, which is just craziness because the show would never be able to get away with that. But good lord could they trick me into believing it.
10. Randomly singing. I do it a lot, and it makes me giggle. I've always done this. It's probably why I love Andy Bernard so much.
