lianhanshee. My answers won't be nearly as awesome as hers were, but it looked like fun, and I haven't updated my journal in a few days. And there's nothing on TV, and I need something to keep me distracted so that I don't scratch the 15 mosquito bites on my legs that are driving me crazy. So here we go!

• Divide the list up by even and odd. Which group of five would make a better Five Man Band (like a Power Rangers team)? If you think the team would be improved by swapping one character between the even and odd groups, which ones would you switch?

Which would make a better team? They both have their weak points, but I think I'll go with the evens since they have the ruthless business tactics of Jack and the brilliance of Adrian Monk. The odds have too many psychos!

• Gender-swap 5, 8 & 10. Which character would have the most change in their story arc? Which the least? Would any of these characters have to have a complete personality change to be believable as the opposite sex?

- Hmm, Liz as a guy. Not much would change, perhaps less cleavage, maybe more confidence. She'd probably be a lot like Floyd, actually.
- Ron's already a total girl, so not much would change. He'd just be a woman slut instead of a man slut. And he'd be even more creeped out by Champ's come ons.
- Wow, not much would change with Adrian either! Not even his name! He'd dress conservatively and still be phobic, and he'd be forever in love with a male version of Trudy. He might have had to work harder to be a respected detective since he was a woman on top of having so many quirks, but he would still be the most brilliant detective ever.
• Compare the matchups of 5/8 and 2/9. (Ignore canon sexual preferences for the moment.) Which couple would be more compatible? Which couple would be more plausible to people from either principal's home culture?

Hahahaha, Liz and Ron would be so perfectly hilarious. Ron's not that much different than most of the men that Liz dates, so I could definitely see it happening. Wouldn't last though. Ron would drive Liz crazy, and he's not sweet enough to keep her from dumping him.
Amanda and Travis is actually not too far off. I can definitely see Travis developing an obsession with her, same way that he did with Betsy (who was also blond and beautiful). And Amanda's so desperate that she'll take anybody. Question though, would her criticisms of him drive him so crazy that he'd end up killing her? Probably.
• Your team is 3, 4 & 6. The mission consists of a social challenge, a mental challenge and a physical challenge. Which team member do you assign to each challenge?

Hee, that would be so hilarious! Buster is so clueless that he would drive Liz even crazier than Jack does. "Heeeeeeeey, underling." Hahaha. Just imagine all the ideas Buster would have for TGS!
• 1 finds him/her/itself inserted into 9's continuity. As far as anyone other than 1 or 9 is concerned, they've always been there. What role would 1 be presumed to have had in 9's story, and could they fit in without going wonky?

Oh good lord, Andy and Travis? Yikes. Well, Travis is such a loner, I can't see him putting up with Andy for more than two minutes. On the other hand, Andy would be an easy recruit, especially if he's hanging around Travis all the time and tries to be his friend by adopting his opinions. They could have gone on the rampage together. I don't see Andy as getting that violent though. He may kick trash cans and punch walls, but I can't see him actually hurting anybody. He'd probably wimp out when the time came, and Travis would probably shoot him, saying that Andy's resistance was supporting the scum of the city. But wow, just thinking of those two as friends certainly scares me!
• 3 and 7 get three wishes. The catch is that they have to agree on all three wishes before they get the benefits of any of them. What three wishes would they make?

Hahaha, oh god. I can't imagine these two agreeing on anything. Buster would probably wish for a new hand so that he's no longer a "monster." Although then he'd have to go to war. Hmm. Actually, he'd probably wish for respect from GOB. And Darcy would wish for Elizabeth to have a more tolerable family. He already has everything else, so he'd probably let Buster pick the other two wishes no problem. Let's see...
1). For Elizabeth to have a more tolerable family
2). For GOB to have respect for Buster
3). A never-ending juice box for Buster
• 2 and 8 are brainwashed by a one-time artifact that works even on people immune to mind control to attack and kill 1. They keep their normal personality, skills and competence level, except any Code vs. Killing has been turned off. Can 1 survive? How?

Hmm, three extremely incompetent characters. I think Andy could survive out of sheer luck because of the fact that Ron and Amanda are both so clueless and usually screw everything up. They'd probably kill all the wrong people, or each other. Or Ron would attack a mirror...
• 1, 6, 7 & 9 must help an orphanage full of small and depressed children have a merry Christmas. Who does what, knowing that at the very least the kids will be expecting a visit from Santa?

Hmm, well, I think Andy and Buster would fight over who gets to be Santa Claus. Andy would win because Buster would get distracted by a shiny object. Kelly would be Andy's elf, and he would be totally turned on by her outfit. Travis would be in charge of writing greeting cards, hee. And Buster would end up believing that Andy was the real Santa and he'd get jealous of the other kids because they were getting presents and he wasn't.
• 4 and 10 are challenged to circumnavigate the Earth in eighty days or less, using only forms of transportation invented before 1900. Can they do it, or will they be fatally distracted by sidequests or their own personality conflicts?

Well, seeing as how Monk is deathly afraid of heights, they can't fly in an air balloon. And he won't go near animals (they smell, full of germs, they poop), so they can't ride on a horse. A boat, maybe? Although I can't see Adrian not being afraid of large bodies of water... and boats. And it would take years to do that anyway. So, in conclusion, NO. Not possible. I think Jack would have a ball traveling the world in an air balloon though.
ETA: Sometimes I really hate LiveJournall!!! Formatting is wacky, have edited it about 10 times since I posted and it's still screwed up. Grrrr!!!! Oh well, atleast I had fun answering the questions.
