I was watching this ep while eating my dinner, and I literally forgot to chew when this scene came on. Between my gasping and squeeing I pretty much choked on my chicken. BUT IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT, OMG!
Also, just want to note, in the beginning of this ep, Giles was COMPLETELY jealous of Buffy/Riley. He kept looking at their hands with this kind of longing and he got touchy about his age and went out of his way to separate himself from the scoobies. HE'S TRYING SO HARD TO GET HIS OWN IDENTITY! SO HARD! OH GILES! He is so lost when he's being neglected by Buffy.
Also, earlier, I saw the ep where Faith and Buffy had switched bodies and I FINALLY got to hear the "bondage fun" talk/having sex with Giles is like having sex with a stevedore that you all keep telling me about. OMG THAT WAS FREAKING HILARIOUS! Father my ass. NO ONE TALKS ABOUT BONDAGE AND SEX PERFORMANCE WITH THEIR FATHER! I also loved that she pointed out that she knew him when he was the demon, so why can't he be intuitive and see that she was Buffy? She was so desperate for him to just know. She went to him first because she just assumed he'd know the second she walked in the door. She didn't go to Riley or Willow, man, SHE WENT TO GILES! BECAUSE THEY SHARE A DEEP CONNECTION THAT THEY HAVE WITH NO ONE ELSE! Oh, I love them.
