Dudes, I have been in such a Psych mood this weekend (which has been happening every Friday since this second half of the season started). The reason? The show is so upping the level of Lassiter/Juliet and Shawn/Gus that it's insane. IT'S LIKE THEY'VE READ MY MIND AND DECIDED TO PLAY WITH MY HEART! They are getting me so freaking invested in Lassiter/Juliet that I will be forever heartbroken if they don't get a happy ending. Shawn/Gus is a given, but Lassiter/Juliet was always my pipe dream ship, the one that I wasn't supposed to let into my heart. WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO ME? I want it SO BADLY! This season they have become the mirror image of Shawn and Gus, from their childish antics (fighting over who would get to test the vest in s2ep4, competing to solve the refrigeration truck case in s2ep11) to the way that they always have each other's backs (Juliet is now always defending Lassie against Shawn's disparaging comments, she made that kid apologize to Lassie and make a point of thanking him for being a good detective, Lassie defending Juliet's honor in the same episode) to the way that they are now doing just about everything together, including celebrating Christmas (at the same time that Shawn and Gus were celebrating it together). Do I dare hope that Lassie and Juliet are being painted as an alternate version of Shawn/Gus, where they happen to be male and female, which makes it possible for them to be together in a traditional sense, which would in essence fulfill the need for Shawn and Gus to be a couple and have that happy ending, but doing it through the mirror image of themselves, showing that had one of them been female, they would have been lifelong lovers? Am I just pulling this out of my ass to satisfy me need to make my ships happen? Yes? NO! I'M RIGHT, I TELL YOU! IT HAS TO HAPPEN THIS WAY! *sigh* See what this show is doing to me? They've gone and done the unexpected, which has made me so much more invested in this show than I originally was. WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO ME? By the way, remember that Lassiet fanvid I had in mind that I talked about a few days ago? I think I've finally mapped it out and will start on it today (windows movie maker was being a bitch to me yesterday, so I had to start over today). Of course, knowing me, I'll probably scrap the idea (since it's a little bit different than my other fanvids) and will start a whole different, unoriginal one to stay in my safe zone. *sigh*
