Dreamcatcher

I just finished watching this movie (had to stop it to watch Boston Legal, but then went back to it) and I could not resist commenting on it.  I... don't like horror films, or alien movies, or Stephen King novels.  But I enjoyed this film purely for the hilarious over-acting and ridiculous plot, and of course the Damian.  He totally stole the film once the alien got inside of him.  HE GOT TO USE HIS BRITISH ACCENT!  Apparently aliens are British and full of sardonic wit.  It's true.  Also, somehow, he got even more gorgeous once the alien possessed him.  It was probably just the change in accents and posture, but... yeah, Mr. Gray was so much sexier than Jonesy.  Plus, the exaggerated acting worked beautifully for that character.  But not Jonesy.  But see... the over-acting was classic horror flick over-acting, so I'm thinking that was the director and not Damian, especially since all the actors were like that (of course, Thomas Jane is always exceptional at being emotionless yet over-dramatic.  He's not as bad as Keanu Reeves though, who would have fit in with this film perfectly).  Seriously though, Damian cracked me up like crazy.  Even the part where he was crying and saying, "What do you want from me?"  I'm guessing that I wasn't supposed to laugh hysterically at that, but come on Damian, that was pitiful.  Morgan Freeman was awesome as always, but the ending with him and his underling just made me laugh.  It was so ridiculously pointless.  WHY is Stephen King so revered?  Honestly!  That was just stupid.  But it made me laugh, so I enjoyed it.  Also, Donnie Wahlberg was so awesome as Dudders.  Between this and Band of Brothers, Donnie is totally impressing me with his acting skills.  I never knew he was so good!  Anyway, back to my pretty Damian.  He is so wickedly boss when he plays villains.  Just... gah, he blows me away with the layers that he can bring to a murderous alien.  Damian Lewis, you rule.  But seriously, stop with the over-acting yet unemotional dialog as Jonesy.  That's just sad.  Sadly hilarious.  Oh!  Jason Lee was in this too, and his character had a crazy love affair with tooth picks.  Anyway, Damian was gorgeous, and the movie was highly entertaining, but so incredibly laughable, which adds to the entertainment.  But yeah, I'm in love with Mr. Gray.  OMG, SO SEXY!  He needs to give sexy lessons to Jonesy.
