The general population of emo people think that emo means emotional; they're trendwhores.

Besides, the poem you wrote is mostly true - it says that emo people are sad/gothic (genuine or not) and that all emo bands are sellouts.

Tell me about one emo person who isn't gothic and I'll show you a green dog.

Introduce me to an emo band in modern times that hasn't sold themselves out and you'll prove me completely wrong.

If you're thinking about Saosin, yes they did sell out. But the Saosin with Anthony Green was one of the most hardcore bands I've ever heard, and they weren't even an "emo" band; back in the day when Saosin just started, emo wasn't even in the scene yet, and Saosin fooled around and called their music "Saocore" hahahaha.

Btw, personally I'm not the type of person who likes to brand people as emo, the people I call emo are only the self-proclaimed emo people.
