The ordeal is over. After working myself to death spring semester, getting mono, withdrawing from classes, going home, recovering, studying my ass off all summer, completing exams, fighting to get grades reinstated, completing classes, taking fall classes, withdrawing from a fall semester class, and finally surviving the fall - I have the grades ( Read more... )

REUs are AWESOME!!!!!

I spent the last summer doing one... at Iowa State... it was incredible.

i'm applying to 9 of them, varying in location from thailand to idaho to austria. i'm looking forward to it more than i am anything else right now.

Congratz on completing last Spring. I like how you can get mono and still earn better grades than me healthy. LOL. I need to turn on the scientist part of my brain since it's been on humanities-mode for the last 2.5 years.
Next semester is gonna seem boring to you, I think, with only one semester's worth of classes to do work for. Think of all the sleep you'll be getting!
Hope TN is treating you well. We got more snow Thursday, and since I haven't had to go outside for a significant amount of time in a while, it's really pretty. :P

i think being totally swamped with work, not letting myself have a second of relaxation, helped with my grades. once i let myself take it easy, i can't stop.

next semester, i plan on chilling out A LOT. if you ever had a desire to play or watch Final Fantasy VI, here's your chance :-P

uh oh... DDR catch-up time... i'm so out of practice, and out of shape, that we'll have to get one of those massive boxes of water bottles just to survive.
