TRANSFORMATIVE WORK OF MY FIC
[POLICY]
Transformative work policy: I give blanket permission for people to make transformative works from my fanworks, including things which have already been re-worked (eg., you are welcome to podfic something that has already been podficced). (This includes but isn't limited to: podfics, vids, fics, art, negative reviews, positive reviews, commentaries, and whatnot.) Please give me a link to the finished work (so I can squee at it!) and mention/include a link back to whichever of my work is involved. If you'd like to talk with me about it before you're finished I'd be okay with that.
Warnings policy'This fanwork contains' policy:
Version 2 (16 Nov 2009): I've decided that I don't like the word 'warnings' and that the word 'contains' is a little more accurate for what I use this entry for. I'll list things here that a potential reader might want to know in order to avoid reading (this includes but is not limited to potentially triggering material). I'll list spoilers (if it's within two weeks airing of the episode. If it's longer than that I may remember to list spoilers or I may not). I usually use hide-text for things which I think are story spoilers (to be honest, my use of hide-text is somewhat arbitrary at the moment). If there is nothing to put on this line, I'll omit it. Things which I will definitely state here include apocalyptic scenarios, zombies, character death, consent play, dubious consent, rape, abuse/torture, suicide (attempted or successful) and possibly other things if I feel that it would be useful for the story in question. (I think I'm unlikely to write any of these, with the exception of red-shirt death, but I figure better a policy than none at all.) This policy applies from now forward-- in theory I am going back and appling it to previously posted works, but in practice I haven't finished that process (it is worth noting that if there is a story which lacks a 'contains' or 'warnings' line, then it means that at the time of posting I didn't think that it contained content which a reader might wish to know about ahead of time). If you have feed-back on this policy or questions or concerns of any sort, please do PM me or leave a comment--I allow anon comments and don't log IPs.
version 1 (1 August 2009) I'm still formulating this, but if you have a concern in the meantime, please to PM me or leave a comment (I allow anon comments and don't log IPs). I love informative headers, so if a warning isn't present, it means there's nothing in the fic that I think to warn for.

TRANSFORMATIVE WORK OF MY FIC
[FICS]
Title: The Power Outages Were Caused by Falling Palm Fronds
Links: [
'...Falling Palm Fronds' on DW] or [
'...Falling Palm Fronds' at AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: Psych, Shawn/Gus, rated H for hugging, 1800 words, written for
gloss for the 2010 Winter fest of
you_know_thats_right.
Pull Quote: "I can't drive us home like this, Shawn! We are covered in ocean water and it's a company car!" said Gus.
Title: Daughter of Folklorists
Links: [
on DW] or [
on AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SPN, gen, OPOV, G, 100 words exactly
Pull Quote: She listened to the stories the stranger told.
Title: On The Long Times Between Jobs
Links: [
on DW] or [
on AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: Leverage, gen, G, ~450 words, Parker-centric with team
Contains: In my mind this is set in L.A. (and thus during S1), but I suppose there's nothing in the fic that requires that.
First Line: Parker likes to check on the rest of the team when they have too much time off between jobs.
Author's Notes: Accidentally written for
insane-duckfish for the [
2009 Fandom Free For All]. 'Accidentally' because I cut this from the story proper but decided (as the story is *still* in progress) to sand off the rough edges and post it as a 'sorry your story is taking so long' gift.
Title: The Case of the Santa Barbara Cleaner Job
Links: [
on DW] or [
on AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: Psych/Leverage, gen, rated for all audiences, 300 words
First Line: Gus hates it when there are FBI agents.
Author's Notes: [
Originally written] for a comment meme/fest/thing at
longsufferingly. I was given "Psych/Leverage gen, anal-retentive cleaning". It's gen and Psych and Leverage but the prompt itself shows up only in absentia. *facepalm* It's extra facepalm-y because I specifically asked for a prompt!
Title: Who's Who At The Railery
Links: [
on LJ] or [
on AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: Supernatural RPF and misc RPF, 950 words, gen gen gen, tame as tame can be and safe for innocent minds.
Contains: This fic was produced on equipment that also processes nuts.
Summary: In an alternate reality, I met Jared Padalecki and told him he looks like a guy that I used to know who played clarinet. This is that story.
Author's Notes: Written for 2009
cliche-bingo, either the 'Original Character' square or for 'Mary Sue' in the free square (currently counting it as OC). [
My bingo card]
Title: And later, there will be time to be awake.
Links: [
on LJ] or [
on AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SGA, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, G, 240 words
Summary: John and Rodney, waking up and going back to sleep one morning.
Author's Notes: This somehow came about from a prompt from
pixiequeen10thk (she said, '[for your prompt,] my brain is going the way of Rodney's lovely soft belly and snuggling'). This is not that story. This is just the story that came out of my fingers when I was supposed to be eating ice cream and then taking a nap and I happened to think about the prompt before taking my first bite of ice cream (it's now melted, I'll have you know).
Title: Teyla & Janet kissing
Links: [
on thingswithwing's LJ] or [
on AOOO (slightly edited)]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SGA/SG1, Teyla/Janet, G, ~300 words
Summary: Telya's having a rough few seasons, but there's comfort in her dreams.
Author's Notes: Continues on (sort of) in the next ficlet. Also, this really isn't my best writing, but I do like the idea of these two ficlets, so they're on my plate to re-work into something better. Written for
thingswithwings's [
kissing comment fest] at the end of SGA.
Title: Janet & Jennifer implied kisses
Links: [
on thingswithwing's LJ] or [
on AOOO (slightly edited)]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SGA/SG1, Janet/Jennifer, ~400 words
Contains: off-screen character death of red shirts. Also contains gratuitous poker references.
Summary: Janet POV after the previous ficlet.
Author's Notes: Written for
thingswithwings's [
kissing comment fest] at the end of SGA.
Title: After the volcano
Links: [
on thingswithwing's LJ] or [
on AOOO (edited version. I prefer this version.)]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SGA, G, 1100 words.
Pairing: Richard Woolsey and Ronon Dex kiss, I'm undecided if it is a gen kiss or a pre-existing relationship kiss.
Contains: non explicit character death of unnamed OCs.
Summary: Richard Woolsey and Laura Cadman's team and a few others are trapped offworld after a volcano buries the stargate. This is the story of what happens after.
Author's Notes: Written for the prompt of Richard Woolsey and Ronon Dex kissing. Written for
thingswithwings's [
kissing comment fest] at the end of SGA.
Title: This late in the season, the toilet paper holder herds are far away.
Links: [
on LJ] or [
on AOOO]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SGA, gen, 1200 words, cracktastic, work-in-progress (has a beginning, middle, and end. Just doesn't have all of any of those parts.).
Contains: hunting of animals.
First Lines: John woke up when he was unceremoniously dumped on the ground by the collapse of his mattress and bed-frame. "Collapse" actually was a bit too mild of a word. "Total and utter breakdown" or "It turned into dust and then it got up my nose and I sneezed a lot. I think I managed to hit my head on my knee somehow, too" described it better.
Author's Notes: for
winkingstar because she started it. Brief cameo by
khriskin's Imaginary Gate Team 5. There might be sequels/companion pieces on IGT5 and Lorne's team's hunting trips. But I'm going to finish this story first.

Title: Bread Mountain Dreams. Or, The Time When Rodney Dreamt They Were All Two-Dimensional Paper Things and Spent the Whole Time Walking Over Scaling the Ridiculously High Cliffs and Obnoxiously Rough Terrain of Bread Mountains. (Full title includes three footnotes....)
Link: [
on the project website]
Author:
fish_echoFandom, etc: SGA team gen, PG-13 for cursing. ~1400 words. May contain nuts. Spoilers for my brain being weird but not the show.
Summary: What it says on the tin :)
Author's Notes: Written for
De Re Coquinaria Pegasi.

Contains: [
skip] Dubious consent and forced voyeurism of the the bad guys make them have sex to prove their cover sort.
Author Summary: Porny "fuck or die" undercover-in-a-gay-nightclub cliché!fic, with only the vaguest semblance of plot.
My Notes (story): The story does what it says on the tin. I actually would really love follow-up story(ies), both for the case and the relationship, which IMO says that there must have been some plot along with the porn here :)

fish_echoFandom, Etc.: SPN, Slashy Crackfic, Humor, PG-13, 1834 words (story), ~3600 words (story + commentary), Spoilers through S4, Hints of Castiel/Dean, Sam/Lucifer
Summary: Dean doesn't know quite what he expected from the Apocalypse, but this sure as hell wasn’t it.
Author Notes: I'm pretty sure I get to blame
fish_echo for this one. /Yep, totally my fault!/ And I quote: Dean, your psyche is all messed up. Why don't you go turn into a kitten for a week, or a unicorn! (in response to
this story /Which is a great post-Hell Dean character study. Go read it! Then come back here and read this for the happy crack!/) Sometimes I am RIDICULOUSLY SUSCEPTIBLE to the power of suggestion. JSYK!! Other than that, I will say that I am completely spoiler-free for S5 and thus the part of Lucifer for our purposes will be played by The Welling. That is all. /Personally, I think this is a hysterical casting choice./
Commentator Notes: /Blah, blah, blah, yes the stuff with the odd formatting is me babbling. I hope the formatting is readable to everyone (it works for me, but then again, a sample size of one is hardly significant), if not, let me know. More boring ramblings redacted./
