i start to watch 'the apprentice' today. I think it's sort of documentary thing, at least it looks like. This Mr. Trump is a bit 做作, i really don't know how to put that in english, maybe such expression doesn't exist in english? and the body language he uses when he is talking is not so cool

做作 - depends on context, but I'd say "affected" or "overdone," I think. For example, I've got a friend who recently started acting like one of the characters in Sex and the City, and I'd say "Dude -- this whole affected rich-little-princess thing has got to stop." In the case of Donald Trump, I'd say that he's really overdone in his speech, his actions, and his dress -- a slightly different meaning from "affected."

Hahaha Donald Trump is definitely WAY overdone in everything he does. That's why they call him "The Donald", I guess.

Also, I don't know if I would call "The Apprentice" a documentary. At least here in the states we call things like that 'reality shows'.

Documentary has a slightly different feel. Something more scholarly, like scientists making a film about animals would be considered a documentary.

hihi, i'Ve used the wrong word, cause i just mixed up 'documentary' and 'reality show'. What i wanted to say is that i think things filmed in 'the apprentice' are things that happened for real. *_*

做作 That's a good vocabulary to know! From what I can tell by everyone else's comments it definitly sounds like Donald Trump! I know I watched that show a bit too.

I think the english version of 西游记 for your class sounds hilarious!

it is very hilarious to sing such a song in english. Have you ever heard of that song, the original version? then try to hum that song with the 'you carry the burden, i drag the horse...' *_*
