You should have a doctor look at it, just in case. I thought I'd just sort crushed my finger in a curling accident that probably involved similar forces and large hard things colliding. When it was getting worse, not better, several days later, I went in and saw a doctor, and it was quite broken.
I appreciate the concern. The option to see a professional was weighed heavily (hur, hur) but ultimately thrown out in deference to seeing how it looked after a day of icing it down.
Today, it looks a lot more... human. Most of the bruising has subsided and though still painful, it isn't nearly as tender as it was yesterday.
I expect you'll be showing off your injury quite a bit at the hockey game tomorrow. To the opposing team, the referees, the guy with the cell phone behind us...
Ow. For a second I was wondering how on earth you bowled 133 with a crushed finger, then realized you're not left-handed.
If you were a real redneck you'd be suing the bowling alley for not having signs that say "Don't reach for bowling balls coming through the return!" Unless, of course, they have those signs and you just ignored them :)
