Wow, it's really neat that you can have that kind of an experience, and yet still have gone to Penn State. I didn't notice you suffering too much culture shock when you came up to Main, but...well, I'm probably getting ahead of the story, aren't I?
Glad to know where the nickname originated, though. As far as I knew, you'd always had it.
There are several still to tell. I will try to address the change of campuses as well, when it comes to it. This is really an interesting trip you've set me on.
I don't remember exactly when you came to the main campus, but I do remember you stood out sharply due to the nametagged coat and the ties. You were "the guy with that coat I see all over campus" long before I actually knew you.
I wasn't gonna tell this one, but one time, Fish, Elwood, and I go up to some frat house...I think it was ZBT after they moved into the new place. Elwood and I are up front, knocking on the door, and Fish is a pace or so behind. The brother who opens the door is unknown to all of us, so Elwood does this, "It's me, Elwood!" thing, but the guy cuts him off halfway through and shouts, "Hey, the fish-tie guy! C'mon in!"
