I changed a lot through every one of my teen years, so I was undecided as to which age I should picture. I wanted to do something actually embarrassing, but not TOO embarrassing, and this is what I got. Seriously, you don't want to know what I looked like at 14, 15 and 16. Well I can tell you, I just won't draw a picture. At 18 and 19 I think I was at my peak - allthough I looked like a drag-queen-on-the-weekends, which isn't necessarily bad.
This is really embarrassing though. I forgot to mention my bad case of crooked feet, which still exists today, and probably is even worse. And my hunchback, which thankfully isn't so bad today, but it's still bad. And my everchanging hair color. I was going to draw myself today but I got lazy. So I'll make a written comparison.
That was my favourite outfit when I was 17. I wore that to school. Such a goddamn poseur. That's what I was going for, though, I have no idea why, must've thought it was cool. I rubbed the fact that I was a poseur on everyone's faces. I still have all of those clothes, except for the corset and the gloves, which I lost. Isn't that grand? I still wear most of them, too, just not that way. The chucks, which looked like crap then look like... crap stepped on and rubbed all over the sidewalk. Quite perfect, actually.
TODAY...
nickname: fishbite, toilette, dapperfish, etc
height & weight: 173cm :( and 58kg
favourite music: I hardly listen to visual kei, just the old stuff. Still like japanese music, in many different styles. In general I like proto-punk, punk, post-punk, glam, synthpop, new wave, nu-wave, darkwave, old time rock'n'roll, alternative, good & bad pop music, hip hop & r'n'b too, stuff that makes me nostalgic and stuff that makes me happy. I like everything. I don't know what my favourite music is anymore :(
favourite books: I really, really, really, really like Oscar Wilde. But I like other books and authors, too.
favourite movies: Those and a bunch of others. Too many to say. I've developed a thing for Francis Ford Coppola quite recently, though.
favourite fashions: I don't know. Everything? I like layers and deconstructed stuff and casual chic. Still do the punk thing, and all the other things I did before, just not in such an obvious way, it's the remains.
And I actually know my shit now, I know about punk music, and music in general, I have opinions, and the Sex Pistols suck! :P
And that's a very shortened description of what I'm into today. Anyway I'm glad I did this because it kind of reminded me of how much I grew up, not but also in terms of tastes, but as a person in general. I often say I haven't changed much since I was a teenager, but that's kind of a superficial way to see things. I was such a kid, back then, and an annoying one at that. Nowadays my priorities changed for the better, I have stronger convictions, and I'm a much better and interesting person (not trying to sound pretentious here, at all).
This is the original meme. It's a great idea. Do it!
And by the way. My uncle says hi!
