And with #4 on the 4th, we're officially on track with Doodle A Day!

Sorry these first few are so late in the day. I tend to do work best in the evenings, especially late evenings, and it also happened that I wound up doing a bunch of cooking and baking the past few days. Anyways!

I had a pair of those water shoes as a kid. They did feel kind of neat when they got full of water (...I'm weirdly tactile), but mainly they got in my way a lot. They were stiff enough to make it annoying to kick with them on, and the previously mentioned filling up with water made them annoyingly heavy to walk in on land.

Man whatever don't be dissin' on the watershoes. They are a requirement if you're gonna be goin' anywhere where there is water and a need for shoes (like a river full of sharp-ass rocks). I went through BILLIONS of those things till I finally realized that a good set of hiking sandals works just fine and looks 400 times less dorky and dry out tons faster. Also rocks don't get stuck in 'em.

My river outfit was always "goggles, big ol' sandals, and swimsuit with cut-off jeans because chances were I didn't shave above my knee and I was way too embarrassed to go out in public with unshaven legs but too lazy to actually shave". It was almost a uniform in the summer.

Hahaha who said I was dissin' 'em? I OWN A PAIR, HAVE FOR YEARS. Water shoes and pants-over-the-suit have been part of my swimmin' kit for years. POST SECRET: A large chunk of Sonya is basically me.
