I've been more or less settled on moving to Boston for some time. It's big, it's got history, it's got a good economy, it's got great culture, good public transit... it's got redheads ( Read more... )

I fell in love with Boston in 2003. In 2008 I moved to Tokyo. Boston is a nice city though. You'll learn to hate the T after a while. Last train goes through town around midnight, I believe. Kinda early, I thought. But Manray's closed so the only fun club night is Monday at Ceremony. Oh well. Still more than Michigan, generally speaking.

And yes, that's an excellent price for a room in Boston. Good luck finding anything better (seriously, you'll need it). But for real, Boston is a cool place. I just managed to outgrow it before I even moved there. :(

PS - You can blame that grid system on the asshats who organized the purchase of the midwest.

It's been too long since we chatted =P

What's the plan in Bahston once you've been there? Work a bit and then back to school or something, or are you playing it by ear like me? =P

Dunno if you saw before, but this is Lyra! Add me please! :D

I spent a bit of time in Boston visiting my godbrother, and once when I went out to visit a friend in ME and we drove through it to visit OTHER friends in PA. The only thing I didn't like were the drivers, which I dubbed "Massholes" on a particularly crotchety night for me. I know this charged feeling you speak of... if I ever had the desire to live on the east coast, that would probably be the place for me.

So excited for you!

I'm so excited for you! Yay!

Also, I'm excited that this means we will definitely hang out in the near future, as you will clearly come to NYC and I am coming to Prov sometime in in Sept or Oct.
