eek! i have an appointment tomorrow for my first real HIV/ STD test. i'm scerred.
i mean, both steve and i've been tested recently for life insurance, and i think testing was part of my annual exam with the gyno. but this is a stand-alone, call-and-say the-words-"HIV and STD test, please" kind of thing. it's a big deal. Planned Parenthood style. -

my ophthalmologist and my vision therapist have been talking about hiring me for close to a year now. i always thought they were mostly joking. turns out, they weren't! i'm officially a vision therapist (in training)!
today was my first day. and i'm beat. goodnight. -

should be Charlotte Martin's new album: Stromata. I just bought it and I love it. Of course, Charlotte's gorgeous and my cousin's her manager/ photographer/ pimp, so it's hard not to love it. :]

linda and bret
yesterday's wedding was uber cool. they had not one, but TWO bands play - Lions of Batucada and Vagabond Opera. we worked our tails off as always, and they were so very, very appreciative. it's nice to get that verbal approval.
