Three years and a bit ago, I bought my first brand-spanking-new motorcycle. The first year Suzuki released their DL650 V-Strom, I absolutely had to have one (in black, natch). You should. The MSF course is an excellent introduction to riding. It's how I got started.

You really should figure out a way to take your bike back to the UK for a holiday. Perfect way to get around, and then you could hit one of the biker fests they have....HW play at one routinely at Castle Donnington.

One of my dreams while I was living in Yorkshire was to buy a Brit-bike (probably a Triumph... they're lovely), and to ride the hills there. There are some unbelievably beautiful roads, twisty and curvy and deer-infested...

Come to think of it, if I'd realized my dream, when I missed that deer and snapped two ribs while slamming into the stone embankment... had I been riding a motorcycle, I probably would have snapped *all* of my ribs.

Still worth it, though.

So that's a thumb? Big deal.
