First off matts been creepy and calling me all the time and even though i know he just wants to be my friend im afraid that if I let him in even a little he'll engulf me again and ill some how convince my self to give him another chance. arg

To me, a fuck buddy wouldn't do all the cuddling and the sweeter things. I think maybe he's scared to jump right into another relationship, but you have a really good chance. Give it some time, and ask him later on if he doesn't tell you himself.
