communities

can someone please explain to me how communities work? i've been waiting for Tim to explaing it to me ever since I moved here, but I'm giving up on him. I tried to search for a community, and lj tells me i need to be logged in.... well i am logged in, that's how i'm posting this. i'm confused and lonely!! i want to make friends on here and i dont

try going to search -> interests

then search communities for an interest

a list pops up and then click on the funny icon on the left of the name to bring up the community info, and hit the common add friend icon and then hit add.....

i think that should work.

somehow i got into the mit community, but idk how. i did that, but it tells me i'm not logged in. stupid lj.
