So... Everyone on campus is freaking out. The show "Over the Hill" produced by students, all white students, mostly males, probably all straight, middle class students... is under scrutiny for being racist, sexist, homophobic, and anti-Semetic. Ok ( Read more... )

i think you should edit that down and send it to the DO
(edit solely cuz they only accept opinions/editorials under 250 words.

I have yet to read the full story, but your post is pretty great. These students made a bad call. If anything, the university community should learn from this... maybe realize that there are problems with the way people think, and most of it isn't solely in jest.

Target a problem, not a few people.

If anything, these kids made fun of racism (bigotry, hate, whatever). I cannot tell you how often I overhear people freely talking and propegating stereotypes. It's disgusting.

Anyway, this subject has probably already been beaten to death. So i'll stop here...

My opinion... brought to you by your student fee.
