I hate hackers. I'm sure you read about what happened to my internet domain last Thursday. My web site and email were down for a day because some hacker used some old forum software I had laying in my account to send nearly 20000 bank fraud spam messages. I'm still getting "mail undeliverable" messages from that. Back during the 1991-1998 time period, I was a system administrator for our Silicon Graphics UNIX machines and we occasionally got hacked. One hacker came in and went from one machine to another on campus exploiting some kind of security hole. He was able to create a password entry with user number 0 (the administrator user) and created a home directory with a name that looked like a library name in /usr/lib. It was quite sneaky
