Since it's still 2014 and I'm updating a second time(!!), I'd say that I'm sticking to my resolution

...except I'd totally intended to write this post last month. Better late than never?

Things That Happened in 2013 That I Remember (I've realized that if I don't write things down, I won't remember them. Sorry to everyone who's had to have repeated conversations with me because my brain is a sieve. ^___^;;)

not really a year in review )

There will always be malasadas waiting for you, bb! And yay for lasik and no glasses! I've done it, twice in fact. (but now I'm beginning to need reding glasses :-P See, you're not the old one *g*)

I'm sorry you're struggling with depression, but I'm glad to hear you're taking positive steps. You can do it *hugs*

YUM. :>>> Oh man, twice? Did you have to get an adjustment? I'm slightly farsighted now, after the surgery, so hopefully my eyes will slowly adjust to where they're supposed to be! Apparently lasik for farsightedness is becoming a ~thing so you could always try that to avoid wearing reading glasses. ;)

What are the tumblr names of you two?

lol i never think I'm creepy, but I guess I'm not like, fangirl fannish. (Maybe kinda with footie, but not in a fangirl way still...just in a really fannish way. idk if that even makes sense.)

huh, I never got the ukelele fad, but you know me ;p

Skin brownies? What are those?

wrt to spoiler tag stuff: I'm really happy to hear that. I know that you've struggled with it for a long time and never really wanted to talk about it, etc., so I hope this is the first step to going depression- & anxiety-free. :)

whalewobble and picklepunch~~~

UKULELES ARE NOT A ~FAD. THEY ARE AN ~ART ~FORM. Mine looks like this!

Welllll, I was experimenting with this one recipe that used greek yogurt instead of butter/oil/etc and my brownies turned out very rubbery with a layer of something that was almost skin-like, lolololol.

Did the brownies at least taste fine? :P

They didn't taste like human skin, if that's what you're asking. XD They were very...moist and fudgy -- a bit weird, but not too bad, heh.

So, random lurker who listens to your podfics and loves your voice (er, platonically) here. Don't know if this helps in any way, but I am a depression sufferer too and also had trouble admitting it for similar reasons (nothing terrible happened to trigger it, just an escalation and combination of various moderate stresses, so I felt like a spoiled entitled drama queen for daring to have depression). I don't have everything figured out and I still have really bad days, but when I got the courage to open up to people about it little by little, things became a little better. Anyway, you are a star and I hope 2014 is a better year for you!

Nonnie, nonnie, I have no idea if you'll see this reply, but I wanted to say thank you for the kind and considerate words! ♥♥

I'm so glad to hear that! Coincidentally, I just had a long conversation with an old friend about depression last night (I had no idea she was also experiencing it) and it felt really good to "air it all out", or so to speak.

I hope 2014 is wonderful for you as well! :)))
