Man, wait until you get into the world of podcasts... little radio shows at will. I'm a fan of Kevin Smith's SModcast (though it's kinda on hiatus now that he's doing a movie up in Pittsburgh) and I'm sure you can find oodles of good sports programs.

Nothing wrong with loving a device that actually does it's job. It's brought me out of a long rut of listening to deteriorating broadcast radio and listening to music again.
