Names of places in Graces

Because I'm kinda tired of people getting the wrong names when they're written right there in English. (There's not even the excuse with Vesperia and Abyss that the cipher can be difficult to make out - Efinea's font looks exactly like Roman characters albeit written in a fancy, curly font.)

All capitalization and addition of hyphens were all me. ( Read more... )

Cool =)
Hopefully people will stop saying Zone Cage XD

I've spotted two errors: it's "Grelsyde", and "Eleth Research Laboratory".

It's not an official romanization per se, but based on "Lasta Kanan", we can deduce "Lasta Lia".
Also not official romanization, but since it's a reference to Norse mythology, the names of the Valkynes Cryas can be spelled Groandi, Diupan mar and Forbrennir.

And the perfect guide romanized some of the bosses' names (even if we guessed mosst of them right): Emeraude, Lambda Angelus, Victoria, Cerdic, Fourier, Kurtz Bessel, Frederic Barnes, Solomos, Kohak Hearts, Reala, Veigue Lungberg.

But I still think it's weird the place is called "Eleth Research Laboratory" when there's also terms like "Arles Rise" and "Arles Break". Is that just inconsistency, or are Eleth and Arles two completely different things after all?

I don't know. "Eleth" makes more sense for "eresu" though.

Lol, Zone Cage still seems to make as much sense as "Zowoncage", so to be honest I'm not too picky on that XD

Thanks for the correction! I rechecked the names and I did indeed get Eleth wrong, however... i-it's still Gralsyde. Which I do find weird considering how it's pronounced, but names do not always make sense, I suppose. ^^;

I didn't know that about the Cryas, actually! I never really bothered looking into the mythology of the names in Graces because compared to some of the other entries in the series (*cough*SymphoniaAbyss*cough*), their influence seemed rather tame (or at the very least, less subtle). Very interesting tidbit, so thanks for that!

Do you mind if I add the list of names? :D

Thanks for doing this. |D Nice to have a list of the names as they're meant to be written. (So, it's Strahta, as opposed to Strata? Good to know).
