My Wheat-Free Experiment

A couple of weeks ago I decided to conduct an experiment that involved excluding wheat (as well as a host of other grains) from my diet. There were a few contributing factors that lead me to try this. I had a roommate who had a sensitivity to gluten. When she excluded it from her diet, she lost a considerable amount of weight. I myself have absolutely no weight problem, but I do have low energy levels and poor motivation. When I stopped to think about it, I eat a lot of bread and other unnecessary sugars. Especially Little Debbies... I don't eat much overall bread, but as you said, wheat is in nearly everything. A family friend of mine has a glucose problem, possibly at least similar to the person you mentioned, so I'm quite aware of how annoyingly present this product can be.

Very informative and interesting post. Thanks much for it! I think I'll have to try it out and see if I'm put into a bit more uppity mood. Although... Some people may be unhappy with me if I try a "weight loss" type thing lol Thanks again or the nifty post!

Interesting to read that limiting your starch intake has helped you to loose weight.

Okay, I don't need to read this book. I need to force-feed it to my wife. And then we can both feel better after lunch.

I don't think I could ever really give up on pasta dinners, though. Love me some pasta.

I have to try this. I am Diabetic Type I thus it allows me to reduce my injections to a minimum too.
