My girlfriend encouraged me to start listening to klezmer music early on in our relationship and ever since I've been wanting to record sort of a klezmer-metal song (or more like a klezmer tune in a metal version). I'm digging it. I've not listened to any Klezmer music before, but your adaptation was nice. I've been listening to more guitar-dynamic metal lately, so it fit in well with that.

Seems like a fun avenue to explore. You should try a few more.

If you'd want to check out some really cool klezmer music played by a pro you should pick up "In The Fiddler's House" by Itzhak Perlman. Perlman is most well-known for playing classical music but let me assure you that he ROCKS in these recordings... That album also contains an insane version of Der Heyser Bulgar. He plays it much much faster than I'll ever be able to :)

i'm a dumb american who knows nothing of the insignificant cultures in the world that don't directly affect me in some way. wtf is klezmer music?
