So it was something like that. I did what I said I was going to do, 1 round KO or TKO from Ref or Medical Stoppage.
TKO Round 1, Medical Stoppage (my punches broke his facegear and it gashed his chin really bad, he needed stitches; also his mouth and nose were bleeding).
In all seriousness, my Wing Chun fell back to basics of just stepping in and chain punching really, really hard. I would have liked to use more advanced technique, especially when he clinched and I just threw hook punches into his ribs. I should have trapped his arms like I normally do in sparring, but "fight or flight" was kicking in and that always ruins a good portion of technique. As I become more used to full-contact fighting, I'll relax more and I'll pull off more of the technique I know how to do.
But that is all for today, I sandbagged Chi Sau and got 1st as well, and surprising got 2nd in Advanced Southern Fist Forms with my Chum Kiu. I would have done Advanced Continuous Light Sparring, but adrenaline dump started hitting me really hard and I feel like I want to eat junk food and nap.
