beer got bottled. more to be brewed shortly.

are icons/symbols important?

you don't need to design me a label, but if i ever get something going in that regard i will look to use and abuse your skills. I was just posing a question. If icon/symbol(s) are important it certainly is only true in some contexts. Many thanks to you sir.

There are cultures that shun icons. Symbols, as far as I know, are how everybody communicates ideas. Particularly new ones. Very important. For example, I dunno, to say a cow is a horse with an udder gives meaning to what a cow is, to someone who has no idea. This is a metaphorical symbol. The whole sentence was just a bunch of symbols that only have the meaning the audience, in this case a reader, gives it. It's not perfect but it's what we have.
