Wanted: Motivation

This community has been pretty quiet lately...

I've got a goal in mind finally. I want to lose 14 pounds (this will take me down to 145), and if possible, I'd like to do it in the next ten weeks.

Problem is, I've never been much of a health nut... I lack motivation and knowledge. Anyone got any tips or ideas for me?

Gosh, I'm with you there. I would advise setting small goals, to build your confidence and motivation. For example, you could stop drinking soda and fruity/sugary drinks, or no snacks after 8:00, or eating breakfast, go for a 20 minute walk three days this week, etc. etc. Then, when you do those, you'll feel good about what you've done and you'll be ready for more.

I'd really just try to make small, healthier changes in your life. Don't try to think of it as a diet, it's a lifestyle change that needs to continue through your life. Limit soda, sweets, and fried foods heavily, but don't stress out about giving yourself a treat once in awhile, just don't treat yourself every day. =) Once a week, maybe ( ... )
