Sherlock Episode 2

Was FINALLY able to watch it, and I don't know, was it too much anticipation on my part, or was this episode not that good?

And Empty House as well: shotting through open window and the name Seabstian. And I missed Lestrade and his sidekicks.

Yeah, the name Sebastian immediately suggests Moran, doesn't it? He's called Wilkes in the credits, though (there goes my theory :)...). Lestrade has to be back for Ep. 3!!!

He should be, otherwise I'd be very cross with this series. Harumpf.

And there I was, thinking I was the only one who didn't quite like this episode. I mean, it had its moments, but overall it was a bit meh.

I agree about the all-over-the-place plot. Confusing and implausible (seriously, they brought that machine into a fucking tunnel?! I don't even.) And I loved his concern for Sarah, too. This really is a part of Holmes that gets overlooked far too often.

And Lestrade!!!! I missed him SO MUCH.

The episode was still good and I'm very much looking forward to the next one, but I think they could have done so much better with the plot. (I also feel a bit like they disrespect canon. I was hoping we'd actually see the canon cases in a modern setting. Especially since they did so well with Study in Pink/Scarlet!)

(random: I like Watson more than Holmes in this. I don't get it. I've always been a Holmes girl. I don't even know why I prefer John...I'm confused. D:)

No, you are by no means alone. Most reviews have been a bit "meh", mostly of course because the 1st Ep. was so great. I mean, had this been my first exposure to this series, I would have loved it - so many fun and cute pieces, and parts of it looked and felt great. Anyway, I have the highest hopes for the next one, written by Mark Gatiss and directed by McGuigan who did the first one :).

I heard that the 3rd is inspired by the Bruce Partington Plans - I think it will have some Final Problem stuff in it as well.

I'VE SEEN A PHOTO FROM EPISODE 3 AND OMG, I WON'T SAY ANYTHING MORE BECAUSE MAYBE YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW BUT/shut up.

I have to say that I got bored watching this episode but it was just a moment and neither Sherlock or Watson were on screen (it was the Chinese girl, I didn't like her story)

I laughed with this Sherlock, making faces and being creepy between Sarah and Watson, lol. Mr Cucumber is great but you already know that.

I missed Mycroft and even Lestrade too :(

SHOW ME SHOW ME i wanna be spoiled :)!!!! I want to believe that the 3rd Ep. will be THE GREATEST THING EVER.

Yeah, Sherlock was great, wasn't he? With this amount of "natural charm" he could use my balcony anytime (man, that smile was ... strange)!

With you on the chinese girl's story - too clichéd and we barely knew the character - makes it hard to care.

You can't just spring this on people - I nearly DIED OF SHOCK here (insert obligatory blanket joke).

Of course we can't die just now - THERE MAY BE MORE ON SUNDAY (thanks soooo much for that, now I can't wait!!!!!).

It wasn't that good, no. I agree with your list of bad points, and also with your summary of BC's wonderfully acted moments. Of course, I could watch the Cucumberpatch watching paint dry and not be bored. ;-)
