Further "Further Adventure" from Bert Coules!

Edit: I wanted to post this on 221b, ahem...
Well, no matter, it can stay here as well :)!

A new BBC radio play, written by Bert Coules, is on the way!

With the big movie coming up, this seems like small news in comparison - but for me, this made me much more happy :)!

more happiness... )

Thanks very much for the kind words. I hope that when you finally get to hear it the new two-parter doesn't disappoint.

I can't imagine how it could! I'm sooo much looking forward to it, that's not normal :)...
It's just such a big joy, if you really love certain literary characters, to see them treated in the right way (and the right way is of course my way, haha).
I hope there will be further radio plays in the future, though, or maybe some other Sherlock Holmes related project from you (I read something about a TV script???!!!!).

Alas, Messrs H and W are a very tough sell in telly just at the moment (and believe me, I know, I've tried and am still trying). Maybe - just maybe - if the Ritchie movie is a smash hit then that will change. Maybe.

There is of course Steve Moffat and Mark Gattis's modern reworking to look forward to on BBC 1 next year. That looks interesting.

Yes, that's one reason I'm looking forward to the Ritchie movie - hopefully, Holmes projects will look more interesting (or profitable) for the BBC if it is (and I'm pretty sure it will be) a success.
I'm glad you're still trying for the TV script, I'll keep my fingers crossed (or I'll hold my thumbs, as we say in German).

I've read about the modern Holmes, and I'm intrigued as well - finally a Holmes who is about my age :) - as he is, of course, in half of the Canon.
