Through a MetaFilter link-walk, I found this article. I'm not saying "I agree*" or "I disagree**," but it's an interesting perspective on the issues discussed, and one I honestly hadn't encountered anything much like before.

Julia, thanks for this interesting article. It does mention CC, but it also talks about 1491, which I read recently and would highly recommend.

And dude, I totally love Fight Club! Heather and I used to watch it all the time. Heather can still pretty much recite the script for the entire movie line by line.

A story: one time Heather was at my house reading out loud some bible verses the Jehovah's Witnesses gave me. She started throwing in lines from Fight Club. I didn't realize she was doing that until the end of it... It meshed together so well. What this says about the bible or the movie, I don't know. Did I tell you that before?

I think I do agree with a number of point this guy makes in the article. But you should check out 1491. That book forced me to reevaluate many of my ideas about the world/god/existence.
