AnOTP: Sam/Anita/Henry

Aug 15, 2008 16:18

It's late, and Henry is sprawled in a chair downstairs in the Mansion, sipping a glass of water and flipping boredly through a book that he has no intention of actually reading. He might be waiting for someone, by the way he keeps looking at the door.

He shuts the book and stretches, setting it on the table, feeling oddly cheerful.

Anita was around, not in the same room, but close by - she's writing her diary, and even if she knows Henry is there, closeby, she needs to finish this first.

Admittedly, she's been thinking a lot about him and Sam. She does need to come clean eventually....

She closes the notebook, and tucks it in the back of her pants, before she goes to stand in the doorway.

"Waiting for someone, handsome?"

And Spade comes from the other direction, not heading anywhere in particular. But he hears Anita's voice, and decides to follow it for lack of anything else pressing.

Henry looks up and smiles at Anita. "Who would I be waiting for?"

"You tell me. I'm just guessing." She doesn't close the distance, happy to look at him from where she is.
